Common questions about the HPT beta program.
How long is the beta period?
The iOS beta is currently active and will run for several weeks as we refine features and fix bugs. Android beta timing will be announced soon. You'll be notified when the app officially launches.
Is the beta really free?
Yes! Beta testers get completely free access during the entire beta period. No credit card required. We're asking for your feedback in exchange for early access.
What if I don't have a compatible watch?
Unfortunately, HPT requires a smartwatch to track performance metrics during games and practices. If you don't have a compatible watch, you can still join our mailing list to stay updated on the launch.
How do I find my watch model and version?
Apple Watch: Check the back of your watch for the model name engraved on the case (e.g., "Series 8", "SE", "Ultra"). You can also find it on your iPhone: open the Watch app → General → About, and look for the "Model" field.
Android/Wear OS: On your watch, go to Settings → System → About. Alternatively, on your phone, open the Wear OS app → Advanced settings → About watch to see your device model and version.
How much feedback do I need to provide?
There's no strict requirement. We appreciate any feedback you can share - whether it's bug reports, feature suggestions, or general impressions. Even occasional testers help us improve HPT.
How do I report bugs or issues?
If you encounter any bugs or issues during beta testing, please submit a bug report through our contact form. Include your HPT username (if different from your email) and select your platform (iOS or Android). The more details you provide about the issue, the faster we can fix it!
Will my beta data carry over to the official launch?
Beta data will likely not carry over to the official release. As we refine and improve HPT during beta testing, the data model may change significantly, making it difficult to migrate beta data. We recommend using the beta period to test features and provide feedback rather than tracking important sessions. Once the official version launches, you'll start fresh with a stable, production-ready platform.
What happens after the beta ends?
When HPT officially launches, you'll be able to continue using the app. Beta testers will receive a special discount on premium features as a thank you for your participation.
Can I invite friends to the beta?
Not at this time - we're managing beta slots carefully to ensure we can provide good support. However, your friends are welcome to apply through this page!
